Bridgewater Recreation Applying for Grant for Youth Yoga Program

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The Bridgewater Township Council approved a resolution to apply for a grant that will allow the recreation department to pilot a program for yoga for young residents.

According to the resolution, the Somerset County Youth Services Commission offers a competitive grant for new pilot programs, and the township is looking to start a yoga program.

The Bridgewater Recreation Department is planning to submit the application for $6,000 for the program.

The program will be offered in 45-minute sessions, one day per week for five weeks, for residents of all abilities in grades five through eight for yoga and meditation techniques.
