BRIDGEWATER, NJ - A number of Bridgewater roads are heavily congested because of a tractor trailer fire at mile marker 20 on Route 287 Monday afternoon, according to a notice from Somerset County.

Route 287 north, all lanes, are closed as of 5 p.m., and northbound routes through Bridgewater are congested, including Chimney Rock Road, where there is about a 2-mile delay at the light at Washington Valley Road and a several block delay at Crim Road.

In addition, according to the county, North Bridge Street is bumper to bumper traffic from Route 22 West to Mine Road.

The accident is in the area of the Cedarbrook Road bridge over Route 287.
