BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Bridgewater Township and Bridgewater Commons are inviting residents to a special safe, family-friendly Bridgewater Township Halloween Festival.
The event will be held Oct. 30 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Bridgewater Commons Mall, parking lot 7 near Macy's. The rain or shine event will feature music, prize giveaways and socially-distanced outdoor fun.
There is no charge to attend the festival, but space will be limited and advance registration is required to keep everyone safe and spaced appropriately. Attendees must wear face coverings beyond those that would be part of a Halloween costume.
A registration link is available on the township's website.
"Celebrating Halloween is an annual tradition long enjoyed by our township's residents and friends," Mayor Matthew Moench said in a release. "Like most events in our lives this year, Halloween will be different than in years past, but we want to do our best to try to bring some joy to the community in a safe and responsible way. We not only thank Bridgewater Commons for hosting this year's outdoor festival in the mall's parking lot, but for their enthusiasm and participation in helping us to create a safe and memorable experience."
According to the township, registration is already full, but there is a wait list that people can get on for if spots open up.
