Bridgewater Township Approves Annual Salaries for 2016

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The Bridgewater Township Council approved its annual salary ordinance with a 2 percent increase for department heads, and no increase for mayor and council salaries.

The salaries are as follows:

  • Mayor – $15,000
  • Township Council President - $8,000
  • Township Council - $7,000
  • Township Clerk - $97,858.80
  • Director of Administration - $159,117.96
  • Director of Finance/Chief Financial Officer - $121,194.36
  • Tax Assessor - $119,061.54
  • Director of Municipal Services/Township Engineer - $127,500.00
  • Director of Human Services - $104,383.74
  • Director of Law – By Contract
  • Municipal Judge - $56,286.66
  • Court Clerk/Administrator - $71,765.16
  • Prosecutor – By Contract
  • Public Defender - $600.00 (session)
  • Chief of Police - $162,959.28

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - A Somerville woman was arrested for allegedly shoplifting more than $400 worth of merchandise from Macy's at the Bridgewater Commons Mall July 7, according to a report from Bridgewater Township Police.

Sara Morales-Silva, 51, was charged with shoplifting after she was found with about $435.04 worth of merchandise from the store.

Rutgers Hikes Tuition, Student Fees for 2018-2019 Academic Year

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - Rutgers University Board of Governors approved a 2.3 percent hike in tuition and fees, as well as increases for dorm rooms and meals, for the 2018-2019 academic year.
