Bridgewater Township Approves Resolutions for Sewer Work, Grant Application


BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The Bridgewater Township Council approved a number of resolutions for purchases of police vehicles and more.

  • The council approved a resolution to execute an agreement with Morris County Cooperative Pricing Council to become a member for an annual fee of $1,250 from Oct. 1, 2016 through Sept. 30, 2021. Township administrator James Naples said this group is most favorable with regard to the purchase of police vehicles and more.
  • The council approved a resolution to submit a grant application with the New Jersey Department of Transportation for the 2016 Highway Safety Fund for up to $67,662.96. The township is looking to purchase one fully equipped police vehicle, two laptop computers and 20 emergency hammer/seatbelt cutters.
  • The council approved a resolution to award a contract to Maser Consulting for the Leghorn Avenue 2017 Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation and Restoration Project. The cost is $120,845, and it is being funded through the 2016 sewer improvement program.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - A Piscataway woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after she was stopped on Route 22 East Feb. 24, according to a report from Bridgewater Township Police.
