BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Bridgewater Township Held a Chinese Culture Celebration Day April 8, hosting Professor Zuimeng Cao, who presented a collection of reproductions of his traditional Chinese paintings.

The celebration included an Arts Courtyard with performances of traditional Chinese dance, musical entertainment and additional performance arts. There was also arts and crafts, calligraphy, tea ceremony and food displays.

The performances included a sword dance, Tibetan dance, Tai Chi Straight Sword, double string violin and more.

Cao has won awards from the American World Art Centre, as well as awards from Houston University, China National Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition of Teachers, China Artist Association, Shanghai Artist Association and more.

The art exhibition is running through April 20 at the municipal building on Commons Way.

Raritan Police: Warren Man Arrested for DWI and More in Police Blotter

February 17, 2018

RARITAN, NJ - A Warren man was arrested Feb. 1 for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle violation, according to a report from Raritan Borough Police.

Wayne Krause, 68, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and speeding after being pulled over on Route 22 West.

Krause was processed and released pending a court appearance.
