BRIDGEWATER, NJ - A school bus from Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School was involved in a motor vehicle crash Wednesday, but no students were injured, according to a report from Bridgewater Township Police.

According to police, at 3 p.m. Wednesday, the bus was involved in a crash at the intersection of Somerset Street and Woodlawn Avenue. The bus was stopped when it was struck from behind by a 2018 Honda Civic.

The driver of the Civic, police said, was looking down at her phone following her GPS.

Police said a passenger in the Civic was transported to RWJ-Somerset as a precaution, and the driver of the bus was also transported to RWJ-Somerset for minor injuries. There were no injuries to any of the students on the bus.

The driver of the Civic was issued a motor vehicle summons for improper use of a hand held device.
