BRIDGEWATER, NJ - After using all three allotted snow days for the 2016-2017 school year, Superintendent Russell Lazovick is revising the calendar to extend the district's spring break and open school on a previously closed date.
According to a post on the district website, Lazovick has decided to close school on April 17 in exchange for opening school on April 27.
Previously, students were set to return from spring break on Monday, April 17, and be off from school on Thursday, April 27, for Take Your Child to Work Day.
According to the post, that is being switched, with school resuming from spring break on April 18 instead. If the district needs to be closed for any reason prior to spring break, April 17 will be taken back as a school day.
The amended calendar is expected to be brought before the board of education for approval April 4.
