BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The Bridgewater-Raritan Regional Board of Education appointed Daniel Silvia to serve as the new asistant superintendent for the district, effective as of May 1.
Silvia replaces former assistant superintendent Cheryl Dyer, who resigned in November and started as superintendent in Wall.
Silvia is currently assistant superintendent of student services in Spotswood.
Silvia's initial contract is for May 1 through June 30, 2015, at which time the board is expected to approve a new contract for the next year. His annual salary is set at $163,000.
