BRIDGEWATER, NJ - On June 6, two Bridgewater-based soccer teams, part of Bridgewater United SC, played one another - and for the first time, father and son went up against each other for coaching.

Andrew Mendes coached the Cheetahs soccer team, while his father, Paulo Mendes, coached the opposing soccer team, the Green Dragons.

The final score was 7-4, in favor of the Green Dragons.

According to Andrew Mendes, his father has been a coach for more than three years, and has never lost a game. Mendes himself just started coaching.

At half time, the score was 2-1 in favor of the Green Dragons, who pulled out the win at the end.
