BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Phillipsburg pulled away in the fourth quarter to secure a 30-7 football victory over previously unbeaten Bridgewater-Raritan on Friday night.

Phillipsburg (3-0) had taken a 7-0 lead in the second quarter on a 35-yard pass from Jack Staggard to Ray Stem. But Bridgewater-Raritan (2-1) tied it before halftime when David Usewick finished off a drive with a 6-yard TD run and Nick Balliro added the tying point-after kick.

The Stateliners went ahead, 14-7, on Joe Green's 14-yard TD run in the third quarter, then pulled away with 16 fourth-quarter points on a defensive safety and a pair of Green TD runs.
