BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Each week, two students at Bridgewater-Raritan High School will be honored as students of the week.
Students are chosen by teachers and staff in the high school.
The students of the week for the week of March 23 are:
- Kunal Hanagandi - (nominated by Beth Perna) Kunal Hanagandi is one of the most dedicated students I have ever had the pleasure of teaching. No matter how challenging the material gets, Kunal always works hard to do his very best. He comes for extra help on a regular basis, and makes use of a variety of resources in order to help improve his understanding of the concepts being covered. Kunal goes above and beyond what is required of him and always does so with a positive attitude and a smile. His level of persistence is inspiring! He is a terrific role model for others, and the type of student that makes our class a better place to be.
- Anjelica Matcho - (nominated by A. Clark) Anjie, a senior, who has achieved excellence in Advanced Placement History courses, submitted an entry into the annual Gilder-Lehrman Civil War essay contest at the end of January. This national contest, with several rigorous requirements, has hundreds of submissions every year. On Friday, Anjie was notified that she is the 2015 winner for this contest, earning a scholarship. Anjie will be recognized at the annual banquet in New York City in April. Congratulations to a job well done.
Editors Note - Every week we will publish the BRHS Students of the Week. Congratulations to all those students recognized.
