BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Each week, two students at Bridgewater-Raritan High School will be honored as students of the week.
Students are chosen by teachers and staff in the high school.
The students of the week for the week of Feb. 1 are:
- Katherine Hobbs - (nominated by Jen Lube) I have had the pleasure of working with Kate for the second marking period in SAT prep. She is currnetly taking honors pre-calculus, so math comes more easily to her than other students. Not only does Kate show a true passion for the subject, but she has been an asset in class with helping other students. Kate is humble, patient, motivating and eager to assist her classmates or participate during review days. Her ability to explain the problems is similar to a math teacher with years of experience. I am continually impressed with her maturity and character at such a young age.
- Angelo Juliano - (nominated by Dustin Frey) Angelo comes to geometry each day with a lot of energy, excitement and eagerness to learn. This is not something that is easy to chieve during a first period math class. He shares insights, makes connections to other subjects and asks great questions about the material. This helps create in depth discussion and also encourages other students to speak up when they have ideas or need help. Angelo also has a friendly, respectful and compassionate attitude for his teachers and his classmates. He is always the first to offer to help others if they need something. While there is not one specific example of something Angelo has done, the ability to bring this attitude every day since September makes him a worthy candidate for student of the week. He is truly the ideal student to have in class.
Editors Note - Every week we will publish the BRHS Students of the Week. Congratulations to all those students recognized.
