How Would Candidates Manage Future Budgets?

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - With elections quickly approaching, there are many topics that residents will consider when they decide who to vote for on election day -- and we decided to bring some of those topics directly to the candidates.

Running for the Board of Education this year are incumbent Evan Lerner and challengers Ali Ali, Christopher Larson, Barry Walker and Lisa Weinstock, all vying for two open seats to represent Bridgewater. Incumbent Ann Marie Mead is running unopposed for one open seat to represent Raritan.

Each day, for five days, TAP will present all the candidates answering one question of importance to the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District.

Today, we asked the candidates to discuss the budget, how they would keep costs down and whether they think the district should increase the budget to the 2 percent cap.
