SOMERSET, NJ - The Bridgewater-Raritan ice hockey team scored four goals in the third period to pull away for a 5-1 victory over Howell in the opening round of the NJSIAA Public A Tournament on Thursday.

Jake Goldstein scored three goals and assisted on one for the Panthers (13-7-3), who broke a 1-1 tie after two periods. Alex Thode helped with two assists for Bridgewater-Raritan.

Jake Gottlieb and Danyaal Tayyabkhan also scored goals for BRHS, and Jayson Lisk and Lio Levy each contributed an assist.

Bridgewater-Raritan outshot Howell, 30-9. Winning goalie Matt Flaim made eight saves.
