BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The Bridgewater-Raritan High School ice hockey team defeated Ridge, 2-1, to win the final round of the Skyland Conference Championship Sunday.
Bridgewater took an early lead in the first period with a goal scored by Eddie Weissman. Bridgewater's Alec Caseiro scored the team's second goal in the third period.
Bridgewater also made 33 saves on goal, against Ridge's 15 saves.
The Bridgewater team is the top seed in the NJSIAA Public A Tournament, with 11 straight victories, and a record of 20-0-3.
The team has a bye in the first round of the tournament, and the second round game is Thursday at the Bridgewater Sports Arena.
