BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The Shimon and Sara Birnbaum Jewish Community Center, in Bridgewater, held its annual Hanukkah party Dec. 18, the third night of the holiday.

More than 100 children and their parents turned out for the party, which included the lighting of the Hanukkiyah, singing songs and eating potato pancakes, known as latkes. Children also had the opportunity to decorate their own candles to bring home.

The evening concluded with a special game show with Hanukkah and other trivia.

Raritan Police: Warren Man Arrested for DWI and More in Police Blotter

RARITAN, NJ - A Warren man was arrested Feb. 1 for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle violation, according to a report from Raritan Borough Police.

Wayne Krause, 68, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and speeding after being pulled over on Route 22 West.

Krause was processed and released pending a court appearance.
