In Somerset County, for three-year freeholder seats, Republican incumbent Peter Palmer will be seeking reelection. Incumbent freeholder Robert Zaborowski was planning to seek reelection, but gave notice in August that he is removing himself from the ballot to take a position with Raritan Valley Community College.

Running in Zaborowski’s place will be Brian Levine, mayor of Franklin Township.

Opposing the two Republicans in the election for Somerset County Freeholder seats will be Democrats Anthony Pranzatelli and Joan Pritchard.
