Local Women Hosting Wounded Warriors Fundraiser


BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Several Bridgewater moms, who are small business owners, are hosting their first annual fundraiser for Wounded Warrior Project in advance of the July 4 holiday.

They are holding a Lawn Chairs & Lemonade Party, for women to relax in lawn chairs and sip on fresh lemonade, while perusing a number of items sold by local small business owners.

All the sales from the event will benefit Wounded Warrior Project.

The event is being held June 30, with a raindate of July 2, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 10 Overlook Drive in Bridgewater.

The businesses represented will be Jamberry, Thirty-One, KEEP Collective, Tastefully Simple, Arbonne, Scentsy, doTERRA and Origami Owl.

The event will also feature a free kids craft, while supplies last.

Wounded Warrior Project is an organization with a goal of fostering the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in the nation’s history.

RARITAN, NJ - A Warren man was arrested Feb. 1 for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle violation, according to a report from Raritan Borough Police.

Wayne Krause, 68, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and speeding after being pulled over on Route 22 West.

Krause was processed and released pending a court appearance.
