Local YMCAs Holding Camp Open Houses

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The Bridgewater and Somerville YMCAs are holding two Camp Open Houses, Jan. 28 and Feb. 25 from 10 p.m. to 1 p.m.

The Bridgewater open house will be held at the facility on Garretson Road, and the Somerville YMCA will hold it at the building on Green Street.

The camp is an opportunity for children to build confidence, friendships and memories.

All members of the community with children in preschool through 10th grade are invited to the free preview of camp.

At the open house, children will have the chance to sample camp activities like S.T.E.M., arts and crafts and game.

In addition, parents will have the chance to learn more about camp offerings, and staff will be available to answer questions about the more than 45 traditional and specialty camps.

The camps open for registration on Feb. 4 for Y members, and Feb. 20 for the whole community.

Bridgewater Police Investigating Report of $2K Worth of Tools Stolen from Car, According to Report

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Bridgewater Township Police are investigating a report of a theft of more than $2,000 from a vehicle parked at the Home Depot, in the Bridgewater Towne Center, according to a report.

A Hillsborough resident reported June 3 at about 5:58 p.m. that his vehicle had been burglarized while parked at the Home Depot. The theft occurred between 5 p.m. and 5:50 p.m.
