BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Lynne Hurley has had the privilege of serving Bridgewater-Raritan as a board of education member since April 2007. During her tenure on the board, she has had the opportunity to sit on the curriculum, personnel, policy, community relations, HIB and finance, facilities, and transportation committees, having chaired both curriculum and FFT. She was appointed as a B-R representative to the Somerset County Educational Services Commission from 2007 to 2009.

During her 22 years as a Bridgewater resident, she has demonstrated her passion for serving the community as an active and committed volunteer. She currently serves as the chairperson of the Bridgewater-Raritan Municipal Alliance/Youth Services Commission and is a member of the Friends of Somerset County Youth. A founding member of the Special Education Alliance, she served as its president and Council of Schools representative for several years. She was selected as a liaison to the Parent Advisory Group to Student Services and was also an active member of the BRHS, BRMS, Eisenhower, JFK, Bradley Gardens and Van Holten PTOs. Other volunteer activities have included Special Olympics, Girl Scouts and ASPEN.

Lynne is employed by the Bridgewater Township Recreation Department. She and her husband, Richard, have two children, Matthew, 24, and Olivia, 19.
