BRIDGEWATER, NJ - A Fords man was arrested for shoplifting after being found with sunglasses from Sunglass Hut, at the Bridgewater Commons Mall, according to a report from Bridgewater Township Police.

Anthony C. Mateo, 19, was arrested Sept. 29 at 11:40 a.m. after he was found with two pairs of sunglasses valued at $346.

Mateo was processed and released pending a court date.

Police made other arrests for driving while intoxicated and more over the last couple weeks.

  • Aaron B. Goodwin, 34, of Bridgewater, was arrested Oct. 2 at 4:27 p.m. for shoplifting after being found with $228 worth of energy drinks from Wegmans, at the Bridgewater Towne Center. He was processed and released pending a municipal court date.
  • Nileshkum R. Mahiji, 41, of Colonia, was arrested Sept. 28 at 2:42 p.m. after being found with $239 worth of merchandise from Wegmans, at the Bridgewater Towne Center. He was processed and released pending a municipal court date.
  • Raj R. Vaswani, 47, of New York, was arrested after being found with $140 worth of food items from Wegmans, at the Bridgewater Towne Center Oct. 3 at 12:59 p.m. He was processed and released pending a municipal court date.
  • Amber K. Siciliano, 30, of Bound Brook, was arrested Sept. 27 at 10:10 a.m. for driving while intoxicated after being involved in a motor vehicle crash on Route 22 East. He was issued summonses for DWI, reckless driving, failure to maintain a lane and having an expired registration. She was processed and released pending a court date.
  • A Charles Street resident reported Oct. 4 that there was a burglary to his unlocked vehicle. According to the police report, tools and pocket change were taken from the car.
  • Kevin A. Luna, 20, of New York, was arrested Oct. 4 at 7:12 a.m. for driving while intoxicated after committing a number of motor vehicle violations on Route 22 West. He was issued summonses for DWI, careless driving, failure to maintain a lane, improper passing, being an unlicensed driver, operating a vehicle without the owner's consent and having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. He was processed and released pending a court date.
  • Kindel S. James, 25, of Branchburg, was arrested Oct. 8 at 5:40 p.m. after being found with $89 worth of clothing from Target, at the Bridgewater Promenade. She was processed and released pending a court appearance.
