SOMERVILLE, NJ - A Manville man has been charged with aggravated sexual assault and other crimes in connection with the sexual assault of a 12-year-old female in 2017 in Raritan, according to a report from Somerset County Prosecutor Michael Robertson.

Cornelio Felipe-Lopez, 22, of Manville, was charged with first degree aggravated sexual assault and third degree endangering the welfare of a child.

According to Robertson, on April 27, a 12-year-old female told detectives that she had been sexually assaulted on three occasions in 2017 by Felipe-Lopez while living in Raritan.

On June 21, detectives from the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office Sex Crimes/Child Abuse Unit and agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation found Felipe-Lopez at his home in Manville. He was arrested without incident, Robertson said.

Felipe-Lopez was taken to Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing.
