The adult education programs, according to a release, are designed to instill self respect and self-expression for adult residents and health service patients. In addition, the ceramics program teaches them about working in clay, incorporating design and principles of art.

The pottery and sculptural works are made through hand building techniques of pinching, coiling and slab building.
