Middlesex Man Arrested for DWI Following Car Crash, According to Bridgewater Police Report

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - A Middlesex man was arrested for driving while intoxicated July 2 following a motor vehicle crash on Route 22 near Chimney Rock Road, according to a report from Bridgewater Township Police.

Zakaria Nasim, 19, was arrested at about 11:20 p.m. following the accident, and was issued summonses for driving while intoxicated, careless driving, failure to maintain a traffic lane and driving while intoxicated under the legal age.

Nasim was processed and released pending a court appearance.

Police made several other arrests for DWI and more at the beginning of July.

  • Desiree Carlin, 25, of Bridgewater, was arrested July 5 at the Days Inn, on Route 22, for providing false information to a police officer during an investigation. Carlin was charged with hindering apprehension, and was lodged in the Somerset County Jail.
  • Frederick Quinlan, 39, of Bound Brook, was arrested July 5 for shoplifting after allegedly being found with $50 worth of merchandise from Target at the Promenade Shopping Center. Quinlan was processed and released pending a court appearance.
  • A resident of Adamsville Road reported July 5 at about 8:12 a.m. that someone burglarized his vehicle when it was parked in his driveway in the overnight hours of July 4. According to the report, someone entered the unlocked vehicle and stole gift cards, credit cards, medication and other personal items.
  • Patrick Forte, 27, of Bedminster, was arrested for driving while intoxicated July 6 at about 11:56 p.m. following a motor vehicle crash on Route 202/206 near the Green Knoll Grill. Forte was issued summonses for driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and improper emerging from a driveway. Forte was processed and released pending a court appearance.
  • Edward Guy, 37, of Franklin, was arrested on Finderne Avenue July 7 for possession of a controlled dangerous substance following a motor vehicle stop. Guy was charged with possession of marijuana and failure to turn over a controlled dangerous substance. He was also issued summonses for driving with a suspended driver's license, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle and maintenance of lamps. He was processed and lodged in the Somerset County Jail.
  • Kailey Blakeley, 19, of Somerville, was arrested July 8 at about 12:23 a.m. on Route 22 near Ronson Road for driving while intoxicated. Blakeley was issued summonses for driving while intoxicated, careless driving and driving while intoxicated under the legal age. Blakeley was processed and released pending a court appearance.
  • An Ascot Lane resident reported July 9 at about 12:31 a.m. that there was a burglary to their home. According to the report, someone forcibly entered the home and stole jewelry and cash.
  • Lisa Pericas, 46, of Warren, was arrested on Emerald Trail July 12 at about 5 p.m. for driving while intoxicated. Pericas was issued summonses for driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and failure to maintain traffic lane. Pericas was released pending a court appearance.
  • A resident of Schindler Terrace reported July 13 that there had been a theft at her residence. According to the report, a package was delivered to her home on July 12 at 1:23 p.m. with a pair of Kate Spade shoes, valued at $149. According to the report, someone stole the package before she could retrieve it.
  • Scott Bosley, 35, of Manville, was arrested July 14 for an outstanding warrant. He was lodged in the Somerset County Jail.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Bridgewater Township Police are investigating a report of a theft of more than $2,000 from a vehicle parked at the Home Depot, in the Bridgewater Towne Center, according to a report.

A Hillsborough resident reported June 3 at about 5:58 p.m. that his vehicle had been burglarized while parked at the Home Depot. The theft occurred between 5 p.m. and 5:50 p.m.
