BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The Bridgewater Township Council has approved several more resolutions for continued construction work on roads that were hit hard in the winter.

A contract was approved with Reivax Contracting Corp. for the Quarry Lane Road Improvement Project, which is 450 feet south of Washington Valley Road to Bartle Lane. The contract is in the sum of $295,063.87.

According to township administrator James Naples, that section of road was hit hard during this past winter.

“Parts of the road were completely impassible because of potholes,” Naples said.

The resolution states the project will include pavement overlay and drainage improvements.

The council also approved a contract with Reivax Contracting Corp. for the Garretson Road Improvement Project from Country Club Road to Hill Lane. The contract is for $180,049.

Naples said this section of road always gets washed out in heavy rains, and reduces Garretson Road to one lane.
