Newark Man Arrested with Burglary Tools, Bridgewater Police Said

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - A Newark man was arrested in the Bridgewater Commons Mall May 23 after he was found with a "booster bag" containing burglary tools, according to a Bridgewater Township Police report.

Ameer Castleberry, 32, was charged with possession of burglar's tools and eluding a police officer on foot. He was also found to have three outstanding municipal warrants from Wayne, Newark and Edison, totaling $2,572.

According to police, Castleberry was seen carrying the bag near the Sunglass Hut, and, when police approached him, he tried to elude the police.

Castleberry was processed and released to Wayne Police for the warrant.

Police made other arrests for drugs and more.

  • John Mancini, 18, of Bridgewater, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after a Hauck Road resident reported seeing a suspicious person in the area May 18. Officers found Mancini, who was processed for the arrest and released with a pending municipal court appearance.
  • Kwaka Appau, 41, of North Brunswick, was arrested for outstanding warrants totaling $5,750. He was lodged in Somerset County Jail.

Raritan Police: Warren Man Arrested for DWI and More in Police Blotter

RARITAN, NJ - A Warren man was arrested Feb. 1 for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle violation, according to a report from Raritan Borough Police.

Wayne Krause, 68, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and speeding after being pulled over on Route 22 West.

Krause was processed and released pending a court appearance.
