North Plainfield Man Arrested for DWI Following Motor Vehicle Crash, Bridgewater Police Say

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - A North Plainfield man was arrested Jan. 26 for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle accident on Route 22 West at about 11:25 p.m., according to Bridgewater Township Police.

Brian Galuska, 32, was charged with driving while intoxicated, careless driving, failure to exhibit an insurance card and having an uninsured vehicle.

Galuska was processed and released pending a municipal court appearance.

Police made other arrests for shoplifting around town.

  • Fernando Bautista, 18, of Bound Brook, was arrested Jan. 27 for allegedly shoplifting merchandise with an approximate value of $97 from Target at the Promenade Shopping Center. Bautista was processed and released pending a municipal court appearance.
  • A resident of Emerald Trail reported Jan. 30 that there was a burglary to their residence. According to the report, someone entered the home and stole cash.
  • Russell Balliet, 67, of Bridgewater, was arrested Feb. 3 for theft of money from the Auntie Anne's kiosk at the Bridgewater Commons Mall. Balliet was charged with theft, and processed and released pending a municipal court appearance.

RARITAN, NJ - A Warren man was arrested Feb. 1 for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle violation, according to a report from Raritan Borough Police.

Wayne Krause, 68, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and speeding after being pulled over on Route 22 West.

Krause was processed and released pending a court appearance.
