RARITAN, NJ - The 33rd annual John Basilone Memorial Parade traveled down Somerset Street in Raritan Sunday, honoring the late Marine, who received the Congressional Medal of Honor and, posthumously, the Navy Cross.
The parade featured veterans from across the state, as well as ROTC members, the Bridgewater-Raritan High School marching band and many more.
World War II Army veteran Gene Moretti served as the grand marshal of the parade this year.
The parade concluded with a ceremony that included a wreath laying in front of the John Basilone statue on Somerset Street.
