BRIDGEWATER, NJ - A 12-year-old boy was injured after he ran into the roadway and was struck by a school bus on Traci Road Tuesday afternoon, according to a report from Bridgewater Township Police.

According to police, officers were sent to Traci Road between Marsillo Court and Williamson Court at 3:55 p.m. to investigate a motor vehicle crash that involved a pedestrian. Police said the school bus was being driven by 68-year-old Linda Yadlosky, of Raritan, and it was a 2012 IC school bus registered to the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District.

The juvenile boy, police said, had been dropped off by Yadlosky at the intersection. After being dropped off, police said, the juvenile began running west on the sidewalk on the north side of Traci Road, while Yadlosky was also traveling west on Traci Road toward her next bus stop.

The juvenile, police said, then ran into the roadway and was struck by the school bus.

He was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
