BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Several Bridgewater-Raritan High School alums organized a protest through Bridgewater Saturday in response to the murder of George Floyd at the hands of a police officer in Minneapolis in late May.

Hundreds of people held signs as they marched from the Bridgewater Township Library, on Vogt Drive, to the municipal building, on Commons Way.

Once they reached the municipal building, residents from the township told their stories through speech, poetry and song.

The protest was organized by Heather Pierre, a rising sophomore at DeSales University; and Andrew Useche, Leah Britton, Hannah Tiner and Nashwa Jaffer, all recent BRHS graduates.
