RARITAN, NJ - The Raritan Borough Events Committee is holding a free pumpkin patch at the municipal building for this year's Halloween celebration.

Pumpkins will be placed all around the municipal building in early October. Families can take one pumpkin, decorate it, then bring it back to the municipal building and display it somewhere on the property.

The pumpkins are first come, first served while supplies last.

Every pumpkin will have a number on the bottom, and people can register their pumpkins if they want to participate in the contest by emailing Lschulte@raritan-nj.org. Families should provide the number on the pumpkin, full name, address, phone, email and age category.

Those who do not want to participate in the contest can still decorate and display a pumpkin.

The contest categories are preschool, ages 5 to 7, ages 9 to 12, teen and adult.

Prizes will be awarded.
