Raritan, Bridgewater See Partial Solar Eclipse

RARITAN, NJ - The nation was captivated Aug. 21 by a total solar eclipse that had a line of totality extending across the United States.

In Bridgewater and Raritan, residents witnessed about 75 percent totality as the moon covered the sun.

Above are photos of the view of the eclipse from near the Nevius Street Bridge, in Raritan.

Dunellen Man Arrested for Simple Assault Following Fight, According to Raritan Police

RARITAN, NJ - A Dunellen man was arrested for simple assault after police were called to a fight in progress on East Somerset Street, according to a report from Raritan Borough Police.

Franklin Cardenas-Hernandez, 34, was charged with simple assault in the incident March 11.

According to police, officers were sent to a residence on East Somerset Street for a report of a fight in progress.
