RARITAN, NJ - A Raritan man was arrested on drug charges after being found in the parking lot of the Gateway Inn, according to a report from Raritan Borough Police.

Michael Godden, 35, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance.

According to the report, a patrolman observed him staring out a window and screaming in the parking lot of the motel. During the encounter, police said, Godden admitted that he had recently snorted methamphetamine.

Godden was also found to have active warrants for his arrest from the Bridgewater Township and Raritan Borough municipal courts, police said.

Police made other arrests for drug possessions in the past week.

  • Caleb Jorgensen, 21, of Bridgewater, was arrested Feb. 10 for possession of a controlled dangerous substance following a motor vehicle stop.
  • Diller Santos, 23, of New Brunswick, was arrested Feb. 11 for possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop.
  • Edward Hall, 43, of Raritan, was arrested Feb. 13 for active warrants out of the Raritan Borough Municipal Court, Somerville Municipal Court and Bound Brook Municipal Court.
