Raritan Man Arrested on Drug Charges After Paraphernalia Found in Bedroom, Raritan Police Said

RARITAN, NJ - A Raritan man was arrested on drug charges after his mother found drugs and paraphernalia in his bedroom, according to a report from Raritan Borough Police.

Panagis Parameritis, 36, was charged March 31 with possession of heroin, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic syringe.

According to police, the charges stemmed from an incident March 14 in which Parameritis's mother found the items in his bedroom.

The incident was investigated by Officer Robert Sinopoli.

Police made other arrests for drugs and more over the last week.

  • David Merchant, 39, of New York, was arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance April 5 following a motor vehicle stop on Route 202. Officer Benjamin Griffin investigated the incident.
  • Jason Prashad, 36, of Neshanic Station, was arrested April 5 for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on West Somerset Street. Officer Evan Vacchiano investigated the incident.
  • Miguel Reynoso, 23, of Pennsylvania, was arrested April 5 for possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to turn over a controlled dangerous substance after a motor vehicle stop on Route 202. Officer Benjamin Griffin investigated the incident.
  • Kevin Elder, 24, of Cherry Hill, was arrested April 8 for possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after a motor vehicle stop on Route 202. Officer Damien Chromowsky investigated the incident.
  • Kadon Barnwell, 19, of Raritan, was arrested April 8 for possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after a motor vehicle stop on Thompson Street. Officer Evan Vacchiano investigated.
  • Amy Nusek, 28, of Carteret, was arrested April 9 for defiant trespass and harassment for unlawfully entering the residence of her ex boyfriend on LaGrange Street. Officer Andrew Ragati and Det. Steven Bonczek investigated the incident.
  • Fidelfa Infante, 46, of Piscataway, was arrested April 9 for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Route 206. Sgt. Thomas Fisher investigated the incident.
  • Evelia Guerrero, 19, and Stefany Enriquez, 19, both of Flemington, were arrested April 10 for possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after a motor vehicle stop on Route 202. Officer Damien Chromowsky investigated the incident.
  • Paul Mason, 29, of Raritan, was charged with shoplifting April 10 because of an incident March 22 when he was seen on surveillance footage at Quick Chek stealing a bagel and exiting the store when confronted by an employee. Det. Everett Holt investigated the incident.
  • Anastasio Soumas, 48, of Raritan, was arrested April 10 for warrants out of Middlesex County for forgery and driving with a suspended license after an officer saw him walking on Vanderveer Road. Soumas was turned over to the Middlesex County Sheriff's Department. Officer Benjamin Griffin investigated the incident.
