RARITAN, NJ - Raritan Borough Recreation has a number of plans and ideas for events for the fall, particularly as the summer is beginning to wind down.

First, as the craze of back to school begins, so is Raritan Recreation’s planning of the annual Halloween parade at the end of October.

In addition, this year, the recreation department has discussed some potential new fall and winter events, and would appreciate feedback from residents about possible interest.

The ideas are:

  • Group pumpkin picking trip to Norz Farm on the first weekend in October
  • Paint your pumpkin day
  • 1st annual best painted pumpkin contest

In addition, the department is considering a parent’s night event in December for parents to drop off their children with members and volunteers for a few hours of eating and playing while the adults begin or finish holiday shopping.

Dates for this are yet to be determined.
