RARITAN, NJ - A Raritan woman was arrested Jan. 4 for driving while intoxicated in the parking lot of Michael's Inn, according to reports from Raritan Borough Police.

Kimberly Briganti, 40, was arrested after a patrolman found her slumped over the wheel of her vehicle in the parking lot. Her blood alcohol level was found to be 0.16 percent, police said.

According to police, Briganti also had a warrant for her arrest out of the Raritan Borough Municipal Court.

Police made arrests for other active warrants at the beginning of January.

  • Gurwinder Singh, 23, of Avenel, was arrested Jan. 3 on an active warrant out of the Cedar Grove Municipal Court following a motor vehicle stop, according to a report from police.
  • Jon Bakitas, 64, of Somerville, was arrested Jan. 5 for an active warrant out of the Raritan Borough Municipal Court, according to a report from police.
  • Stephanie Mangini, 23, of Manalapan, was charged with contempt Jan. 5 after she violated the provisions of a restraining order that was issued against her because of a domestic violence incident, according to a report from police.
