Rescue Squad Members Recognized Through LOSAP Program


BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The Bridgewater Township Council approved a final list of volunteer members who qualify under the township LOSAP program.

The Length of Service Award program (LOSAP) is to reward active members of the Bradley Gardens First Aid and Rescue Squad, the Finderne First Aid and Rescue Squad, the Martinsville Rescue Squad and the Green Knoll Rescue Squad.

The program allows for fixed annual contributions per member to a deferred-income account for each volunteer member. The required contribution in 2016 is $1,210.48 per qualified member.

Dunellen Man Arrested for Simple Assault Following Fight, According to Raritan Police

RARITAN, NJ - A Dunellen man was arrested for simple assault after police were called to a fight in progress on East Somerset Street, according to a report from Raritan Borough Police.

Franklin Cardenas-Hernandez, 34, was charged with simple assault in the incident March 11.

According to police, officers were sent to a residence on East Somerset Street for a report of a fight in progress.
