To the Editor:

On Monday, June 29 at 7:30 p.m., the Bridgewater Township Council will hold a regular session.

On the agenda is an ordinance to vacate a portion of Radel Avenue The vacated part of Radel Avenue will be used to support the development of 220 high density rental apartments on the former Weyerhauser Tract. Vacating this portion of Radel Avenue unconditionally transfers ownership to Edenwood, the proposed developer and current owner of this property. They will take ownership no matter what is done with this property.

There is no reason to take this action now. Once approved, the transfer is permanent. The vacating of Radel Avenue can be done later when the final site plan is approved.

If you cannot attend, please remember to e-mail the township council and the mayor to express your opposition.
