Roadwork to Begin This Week Throughout Bridgewater

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - A number of roads throughout Bridgewater will be closed over the next few weeks while construction work is done.

On Thursday, Oct. 13, construction will begin on Strawbridge Road for a handicap ramp and sidewalk replacement, drainage improvements, road base repairs and resurfacing of the pavement.

During the work, traffic will be detoured during working hours and potentially overnight briefly. Access to homes fronting on the road will be maintained, but there may be a need for parking at alternate locations for a brief period.

On Oct. 17, construction will begin on Birdsall Lane for drainage improvements, road base repairs and resurfacing of the pavement. There will be partial lane closures in effect.

Construction will begin Oct. 17 on Church Road between the North Branch Reformed Church parking lot and Meadow Road for drainage improvements, road base repairs and resurfacing of the pavement.

Again, traffic will be detoured during working hours and potentially overnight, and access to homes will be maintained.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - A Somerville woman was arrested for allegedly shoplifting more than $400 worth of merchandise from Macy's at the Bridgewater Commons Mall July 7, according to a report from Bridgewater Township Police.

Sara Morales-Silva, 51, was charged with shoplifting after she was found with about $435.04 worth of merchandise from the store.

Rutgers Hikes Tuition, Student Fees for 2018-2019 Academic Year
