Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes is the signature one-day fundraising walk to benefit the American Diabetes Association. Every dollar raised goes toward preventing and curing diabetes, as well as improving the lives of people affected.

Today, the release said, there are more than 29 million Americans with diabetes.

Walking is one of the best forms of exercise for people with diabetes, and the event helps people come together for a fun and healthy activity.

The walk in Bridgewater will include a route that concludes on the warning track of the ballpark, with vendors, activities for kids, music and lunch for all participants.
