SOMERSET, NJ - The Bridgewater-Raritan softball team scored nine runs in the first inning and went on to a 19-1 victory over Franklin on Tuesday.

Jalynda Mercado, who had two hits and scored three runs, and Sarah Karmazyn, who had a hit and scored three times, each knocked in three runs for the Panthers (4-3).

Samantha Artuso and Julia VanLiew each delivered a pair of hits and Taylor Cannon drilled a double and drove in a run for BRHS. Grace Martino allowed an unearned run in three innings to gain the victory.
