Somerset Man Taken to Hospital After Crash at Route 22 and Country Club Road

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - A Somerset man was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital New Brunswick after his dirt bike struck a car on Route 22 early Wednesday morning.

According to a report from police, at about 4:22 a.m., Shaun Howard, 20, was driving his green Kawasaki KX250F dirt bike east on Route 22 at the intersection of Country Club Road when he hit the driver's side of a 2013 Ford F-150, being driven by Joseph Shepler, 63, of Hillsborough, going north on Country Club Road.

Howard was taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries.

Those on the scene were the Bridgewater Township Police Department, New Jersey State Police, Green Knoll and Martinsville Rescue Squads and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital paramedics.

The crash is being investigated by the Bridgewater Township Police Department Traffic Safety Bureau. Witnesses are asked to contact Officer John Kennedy at 908-722-4111, ext. 4162.

Raritan Police: Warren Man Arrested for DWI and More in Police Blotter

RARITAN, NJ - A Warren man was arrested Feb. 1 for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle violation, according to a report from Raritan Borough Police.

Wayne Krause, 68, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and speeding after being pulled over on Route 22 West.

Krause was processed and released pending a court appearance.
