Loughran is the creator of the Mask Squad, which has raised more than $15,000 to help the community, county, state and beyond create and distribute necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) to anyone who has needed it during the pandemic.

Their youngest son, Finn, was diagnosed just before the shutdown in March with TaySachs Disease, a disease that is believed to have led to the death of their daughter, Sylvia in 2013. Although she was never diagnosed, she had low tone at 14 months old and was special needs, similar to Finn's symptoms.

Loughran detailed their journey on her Facebook page, Finny's Fan Club.
