Somerville "Art Crawl" Features Works of 10 Artists Dec. 2 & 3

SOMERVILLE, NJ – Arts on Division presents the "Gift of Art" Crawl on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 2 & 3 from 1-6 p.m. each day.

The Art Crawl will provide the opportunity to shop for one-of-a-kind holiday gifts representing the work of 10 local artists on display at five locations in downtown Somerville.

Featured will be a selection of locally-made ceramics, jewelry, painted bottles, glass art, enameled gifts, drawings and painting, carved stone, woven tapestries, and more.

Gallery on Main at 30 West Main St. featuring Mark Allen and Karen Caldwell;

Gallery on Division at 15 Division St. featuring Robert Metzger;

Verve Lounge at 18 East Main St. featuring Sien Lewis, Les Floyd, Diana Contine  and Susan Antin;

Three Hearts Home at 87 West Main St. featuring Victoria Ramirez and Anne Choi;

Country Squire Pottery at 26 West High St. featuring Susan Amann.

Arts On Division is dedicated to building community in Somerville and the region through the arts and arts education by promoting the advancement, development, and support of the visual, musical, physical, and literary arts.

Raritan Police: Warren Man Arrested for DWI and More in Police Blotter

RARITAN, NJ - A Warren man was arrested Feb. 1 for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle violation, according to a report from Raritan Borough Police.

Wayne Krause, 68, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and speeding after being pulled over on Route 22 West.

Krause was processed and released pending a court appearance.

County Holding 5th Annual 5K Race to Wellness

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The Somerset County Employee Wellness Committee is partnering with EmPoWER Somerset for the 5th Annual 5K Race to Wellness and 1-mile Fun Walk for county residents March 24.

The event, according to a release, is being held rain or shine at 9 a.m. at Duke Island Park, on Old York Road.

The 5K race is USATF certified.
