Somerville Elks Holding Designer Handbag Bingo to Raise Money

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The Somerville Elks Lodge #1068, in Bridgewater, is hosting Designer Handbag Bingo at the lodge, on Union Avenue, from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. March 26.

Admission price is $30 in advance or $35 at the door, and includes one bingo card for each of the 10 games, an entry into the door prize raffle, three raffle tickets for a basket auction and a lunch buffet.

Additional bingo cards, raffle tickets and tickets for a 50/50 raffle will also be available for purchase. Tables of 10 can also be reserved in advance.

The doors will open at noon.

Money raised from the event will support the Elks National Foundation, which provides charitable programs operated by the lodge, including scholarships and other projects that support the local community.

Raritan Police: Warren Man Arrested for DWI and More in Police Blotter

RARITAN, NJ - A Warren man was arrested Feb. 1 for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle violation, according to a report from Raritan Borough Police.

Wayne Krause, 68, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and speeding after being pulled over on Route 22 West.

Krause was processed and released pending a court appearance.
