BRIDGEWATER, NJ - A Staten Island woman was arrested March 23 after allegedly being found with more than $1,000 worth of merchandise from Bloomingdales in the Bridgewater Commons Mall, according to a report from Bridgewater Township Police.

Renata Ukowska, 47, was arrested after being found with $1,329 worth of merchandise from the store.

Ukowska was processed and released pending a municipal court appearance.

Police made several other arrests for shoplifting at the end of March.

  • Christine Bistis, 52, of Flemington, was arrested for shoplifting after allegedly being found with $406 worth of merchandise from Wegmans. She was also charged with possession of a hypodermic needle and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bistis was processed and released pending a municipal court appearance.
  • Andrew Brockley, 38, of Manville, was arrested for shoplifting after allegedly being found with $418 worth of merchandise from Target in the Promenade Shopping Center. He was processed and released pending a municipal court appearance.
