Students Honored as Bridgewater-Raritan Pop Warner All-American Scholars

ORLANDO, FL - On May 27, Luke Tesoriero and Matt Tusim represented the Bridgewater-Raritan Pop Warner Football program at the 2016 All-American Scholar Weekend at Disney's Yacht Club Resort in Orlando.

This year’s event included an opportunity to meet and get autographs from speakers at the banquet, including Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle Sen'Derrick Marks, Tennessee Titans Pro Bowl tight end Delanie Walker and Green Bay Packers linebacker Sam Barrington.

Pop Warner motivates athletes by recognizing accomplishments both on the field and in the classroom. Only the top 2 percent academically of all Pop Warner participants across the country are recognized as Pop Warner All-American Scholars.  

Congratulations to all of the 2016 Bridgewater-Raritan Pop Warner All-American Scholars: Kayla Barone, Sabrina Brady, Karli Cacchio, Joseph Carroll, Zack Catterson, Madison Chandler, Alexis Couch, Victoria Diaz, Kaitlyn Fielder, Ashley Hall, Grace Larsen, Allison Livecchi, Anna Madsen, Morgan McGarry, Rosina Rech, Garrett Ricciardi, Gianna Riccio, Luke Tesoriero, Krista Thanjan, Matt Tusim, Julia Verano, Lee Wilde and Fallon Wolff.

Car Fire in Wendy's Parking Lot Deemed Not Suspicious, Bridgewater Police Say

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Bridgewater Township Police responded to a car fire in the parking lot of Wendy's, on Route 22 East April 9, but the fire was not deemed suspicious, according to a report.

According to the report, an unoccupied 2003 Infinity G35 caught fire. A 2010 Honda CRV, which was parked next to it, was also damaged in the fire.

Bateman Bill to Require Training, Licensing for Pet Groomers

TRENTON, NJ - Sen. Christopher "Kip" Bateman (R-16) will introduce legislation to increase protections for family pets by requiring pet groomers to be properly trained and licensed following the deaths of three dogs in five months at different New Jersey pet salons.
