RARITAN, NJ - The Vine’s Church of Raritan held its annual “Pistang Pinoy,” or Filipino Feast, August 19, with the purpose of introducing the community to the culture, street food and street games enjoyed in the Phillipines.
Much of the congregation of the church live in Raritan, and work in the immediate area.
The purpose of the event is also to introduce the community to a group of people willing to show love to one another regardless of race and culture, according to Pastor Rowel Del Mundo.
The Vine’s Church has a number of outreach programs, including the Mix Martial Arts Ministry to help the younger generation to develop self-control, values, discipline and dealing with bullies.
More information is available at vcnj.org, and they have various groups through Raritan, Bridgewater and Hillsborough that meet during the week as support groups.
