BRIDGEWATER, NJ - A Highland Park woman was arrested May 18 for driving while intoxicated, and issued other summonses, after she was pulled over for a motor vehicle violation on East Main Street, according to a report from Bridgewater Township Police.

Ismary Argueta, 29, was issued motor vehicle summonses and criminal complaints for driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to chemical testing of her breath, failure to maintain a traffic lane, reckless driving, careless driving, obstructed view, obstructing the administration of law and disorderly conduct/improper behavior.

Argueta was processed and released pending a court appearance.

Bridgewater Police made other arrests for DWI and theft toward the end of May.

  • Edward Gueits, 45, of New York, was arrested May 19 for driving while intoxicated after he was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Somerset Corporate Boulevard. Gueits was issued motor vehicle summonses for driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to chemical testing of his breath, reckless driving and wrong way driving. He was processed and released pending a court appearance.
  • An employee of Pit Stop Gas Station, on Union Avenue, reported May 20 that there was a theft of cash from the register. According to the report, there was $195 stolen.
  • An Old York Road resident reported May 21 that, between May 19 at 3 p.m. and May 21 at 10 a.m., someone had removed a Troy-Bilt TB230 self-propelled mower from his yard.
  • Christine Behot, 23, of Greenbrook, was arrested May 21 for theft of Powerbeats headphones, valued at $199, from Best Buy, on Commons Way. She was issued a complaint summons for theft, and released with a pending court appearance.
